- Oversaw the largest-ever study of overactive bladder (OAB) patients, which enrolled approximately 6,000 patients and 600 urologists throughout the U.S. The project included designing and producing survey materials; training the sales force; monitoring physician and patient enrollment; monitoring phone, fax and email support lines; setting up the results database; and developing the analysis plan.
- Developed an electronic template model to estimate the economic impact of overactive bladder as well as potential cost savings due to therapy in several European countries and in the U.S.
- Managed the development of a retrospective cost-effectiveness model for hypertension in the United States and Canada including meta-analytic analysis of response and adverse event rates, physician Delphi panels and construction of decision-analytic model. The models were used to aid in competitive product positioning and also to support reimbursement with the Ontario Ministry of Health.
- Developed a Therapy Economics software system for two major European pharmaceutical firms. Project included development of software concept and storyboards, development and installation of software and training program. The software serves to facilitate the creation and analysis of economic models of therapies in the early stage of development as well as provide a basis for cross-functional communication between marketing, R&D and outcomes research personnel early on in development.
- Conducted a European pricing analysis of a new allergy product for a major international pharmaceutical manufacturer. The project included gathering data from local market subsidiaries, researching and analyzing international pricing and reimbursement policies and regulations, developing country- and European-specific market forecasts and analyzing pan-European and country-specific net present values for the product following launch. Project has since been developed into an electronic pricing tool for international pricing analyses that will be resident within the client's finance department.
- Managed a strategic analysis of the impact of health economics on the commercial success of pharmaceutical products in the US and Germany for a major international drug firm. Project involved identification of case study products, case study research in the US and Germany, interviews with product managers and with users of health economic information in the US and Germany, analysis of results and synthesis of conclusions.
- Managed an international, prospective pharmacoeconomic study of a novel hemoglobin therapeutic. Study involved developing an analysis plan, creating a decision-analytic model of treatment, defining data collection parameters, training European CRAs and physicians and analyzing data and developing conclusions.
- Conducted a market analysis and developed a pricing strategy for a line of blood component pathogen inactivation systems for a biotechnology firm. The project included interviews with treating physicians, blood bankers and hospital administrators; identification of relevant pricing references and frameworks; development of potential price estimates and recommendations for a pricing strategy and tactical market measures.
- Managed a strategic economic and pricing analysis for a blood product for the treatment of a rare hereditary disorder. Using pharmacoeconomic methods and financial analyses the value of the new therapeutic was quantified, a pricing strategy was developed and market potentials were calculated. Data for the analysis was synthesized from the medical literature, surveys of medical experts, focus groups with leading treating physicians and research on previously launched products.
- Managed a multi-site, cost-effectiveness analysis of three types of hearing screening programs for newborns for a US-based medical device company. The project involved retrospective outcomes analysis combined with collection of prospective economic and outcomes data using case report forms and activity based costing techniques.

The models were used as the basis for strategic partnership negotiations between the companies and respective established pharmaceutical and device firms in the US and Europe.
- Managed the design and execution of two prospective, Phase III pharmacoeconomic studies of a novel analgesic delivery system including: design of protocols, case report forms and decision-analytic model; organization of clinical advisory panel; evaluation and selection of quality of life instruments; meta-analytic modeling and data analysis.
- Undertook a pricing study for a novel rheumatoid arthritis treatment for a major US pharmaceutical company. The project included identification of relevant payer interviewees and product comparables; interviews with payers nationwide; analysis of results and development of strategic price and product positioning recommendations.
- Developed a life sciences market entry strategy for a health care information systems company developing a potentially valuable physician information database system. The project involved developing target product profiles; interviewing potential customers; and developing recommendations on product development, price and customer approach strategies.
