Manager
Job Description
Successful candidates for the Manager position will have an MD, MPH, MBA, equivalent degree, or commensurate experience. Managers will be responsible for working both independently, with clients and as a team leader to complete engagements in a timely fashion. IHS is currently looking for managers with particular experience in the areas of health/pharmacoeconomics including, outcomes research/Quality of Life analysis, and reimbursement.
Representative examples of projects and tasks Managers assume responsibility for include:
- Development of proposals
- Coordination and oversight of project team to ensure on-budget and timely completion of all project deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Preparation of financial models and other cost-effectiveness analyses
- Development of sales tools and other teaching aides for field-based sales representatives to communicate product economics to customers
- Preparation of instructional materials to assist in optimizing reimbursement
- Management of project communications between IHS team and client contact
- Proactively address client inquiries on any project / proposal issues
- Actively investigate and remain informed on all healthcare regulations, coverage, reimbursement and market issues, as they pertain to client projects and client products
- Provide opportunities for professional growth and development of team members
Managers must have excellent written and oral presentation skills, as well as the ability to:
- define problems/issues, establish facts, apply concepts and draw valid conclusions in a multi-task environment
- interpret an extensive variety of technical / medical material
- deal with concrete and abstract variables
Previous experience in healthcare consulting and/or the biopharmaceutical and/or medical device industries is necessary. Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling is also a plus. All managers must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access on a PC platform with an ability and desire to learn new software systems as needed.
