Research Analyst
Job Description


Successful candidates for the Research Analyst position will have a BS/BA degree in the areas of Economics or the Life Sciences. Research Analysts will be responsible for working both independently and as part of a team to complete engagements in a timely fashion. IHS is currently looking for analysts to support IHS project teams in the areas of market and strategic analysis, product pricing and positioning and health and pharmacoeconomics.

Representative examples of projects and tasks Research Analysts are responsible for include:



Research Analysts must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in foreign languages is helpful but not required. Research Analysts must possess excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency and confidence with Microsoft Windows XP programs is a must. Specific experience with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, statistical programs and email and internet systems is a plus, as Research Analysts must be willing and able to learn and become proficient in those programs with which he/she is unfamiliar. Research Analysts should also be able and willing to travel to client and other meetings on short notice.
